CedarCreek Sauvignon Blanc 2022

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe southern Okanagan is home to CedarCreek's sauvignon blanc grapes. Despite the heat, this wine thrives off the sage and antelope brush that supercharges the air at the height of the growing season, giving the wine a savoury, grassy undercurrent that winemaker Taylor Whelan combines with early picked, high acid fruit. Whelan also employs two different yeasts designed to accentuate the herbal nature of this variety. An early cool growing season and a warm fall have brought phenolic ripeness at an exciting 12 degrees alcohol. This gives the wine a foundation to show off all its savoury lemongrass flecked with passionfruit and lime zest. At Home Block, it is served with ricotta and nettle dumplings.Tasted: 23 March 2023Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
