Alasia Langhe Nebbiolo 2019

Piedmont, ItalyThis Langhe nebbiolo comes off vineyards with a south westerly aspect between 200-300m, with an average vine age of 30 years, rooted in limestone clays. This was fermented in stainless, and then racked to French barrels (40%) and large Piedmontese vats for 1 year prior to the blend. Savoury cherry, black raspberry, forest leaves, is lined with salt and worked leather, with sticky tannins taking this to a saline, bricking finish. Drinking now, ideally with wild mushroom dishes.Tasted: 10 March 2023Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
