Montecariano Puntara Cabernet Sauvignon 2017

Verona, Veneto, ItalyThis cabernet comes from the foot of the hills in San Pietro in Cariano, the only solo cabernet made in the Veneto. The fruit is harvested overripe in mid-October and dried naturally for 30 days in wooden boxes. On the edge of being volatile, the fragrant lifted black cherry is intoxicating. It spends a month in Frech oak with stirring before ageing 12 months in the bottle. You can drink this now, and I suggest mushroom risotto or braised lamb shanks.Tasted: 11 February 2023Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
