Drouhin Vaudon Chablis Réserve de Vaudon 2020

Chablis, Burgundy, FranceDrouhin has been around since the 1880s, with the current generation's great grandfather starting the business as a negociant. In the early 20th century the family started as winemakers, purchasing and planting their first vineyards in the early 1960s. The Réserve is a richer, more expansive palate than their classic Chablis, from biodynamically-farmed Drouhin estate fruit, primarily from the right bank, neighbouring the Grand Cru terroirs. This was fermented and aged on lees in stainless over 8 months. Certainly richer than the classic, this carries green apple, pear, and lees across an expansive and textural palate, laced with salinity, and finishing with stones. There's a lovely completeness to this 2020, drinking very smartly now.Tasted: 28 February 2023Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
