Catena Zapata Adrianna Vineyard White Bones Vino de Parcela Chardonnay 2020

Gualtallary, Tupungato, Valle de Uco, Tunuyán, Central Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaAdrianna Vineyard, located at almost 1450 metres in the Gualtallary sub-district of the Tupungato region high in the Andes foothills, is home to White Bones. Select rows within Block 1 of Adrianna Vineyard layered with calcareous deposits and limestone as well as fossilized animal bones, remnants of a river that used to pass through the region, This makes up the soul of this wine. Cold settled and wild yeast fermented, this chardonnay is fermented in stainless steel and French oak for approximately 90 days. The nose is an intense mix of white flowers mixed with native high scrub and a strong jarilla character, the garrigue of Argentina. White Bones is about precision, chiselled out by fresh acidity, quince, and green fig dipped in a saline solution. White Bones is grown only 100 metres from White Stones, but by any measure, it is a Grand Cruu version of the Premier Cru White Stones. Both are a testament to the research and hard work of the Catena team to reach for the stars.Tasted: 24 February 2023Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
