Okanagan Falls, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Remuda Vineyard is in Okanagan Falls, considered one of BC’s sweet spots for pinot noir. What this wine lacks in delicacy and refinement, it more than makes up for in spice and flavour. It opens with exuberant black cherry dusted in peppery spice and forest floor. The tannins are a touch sticky at this youthful point, and will need a couple more years to disperse. A solid effort you can drink now with something substantial like roasted soy marinated salmon, or let it sit through 2024 in the bottle.
