Okanagan Crush Pad has shifted its name to Haywire Winery, reflecting the growing importance of its leading brand and the company's shift away from being a custom crush facility. With the change comes new branding and this new Haywire Switchback Pinot Gris. From their original home vineyard, this organic gris was whole cluster pressed and native fermented in concrete, where it remained for 11 months with regular bâtonnage. Creamy and expansive, this medium white is drawn with flax, lees, ripe pear and white peach, scented with scrubby desert sage and elderflower on the soft finish. Quite youthful.
