Haywire Gamay Rosé 2021

Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaHaywire has always been a winery that cares passionately about terroir, employing a 'less is more' style, utilizing state of the art concrete tanks and amphorae, and gentle winemaking under winemaker Matt Dumayne. Okanagan Crush Pad is disappearing into the Haywire Winery, reflecting the OCP facility’s shift away from the custom crush business, allowing Haywire to take the lead. The Haywire Gamay Rosé is a prime reason this label needs a brighter spotlight. A wow wine and a great example of what serious rosé can be in BC. Fresh, creamy, and stuffed full of strawberry underpinned by a streak of orange and citrus that reminds me a bit of Provence. The finish is gloriously slick and spiced. It is the kind of bottle that will disappear quickly. You will want to get some of this for the summer now.Tasted: 29 January 2023Tasted by: Prices:
