Freemark Abbey Cabernet Sauvignon Sycamore Vineyards 2018

Rutherford, Napa Valley, California, United StatesSycamore Vineyard sits at the southern end of the Rutherford Bench, close to the Mayacamas Mountains. The wine opens with a dark, intense, spicy cassis nose with earthy espresso. The palate is similarly concentrated with rich and textured flavours of black cherry, dark chocolate, leather, and warm oak spices. The blend is a 77/9/8/6 cabernet sauvignon, merlot, malbec, and petit verdot and cabernet franc, aged 27 months in 62 percent new oak. This wine shouts Napa Valley from its rich, ample palate to its long concentrated and balanced finish. It’s a solid vintage, and this will age effortlessly for 20 years. The classic T-bone steak wine.Tasted: 10 January 2023Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
