Colli Orientali del Friuli, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, ItalyThis sparkling ribolla gialla comes off vineyards in Corno di R. and Manzano, in Colli Orientali. After ferment in stainless and wood, this was finished in the charmat method, with 30 months in tank on lees, and then 1 year's rest in bottle prior to release. Tight, subtle floral blossoms, light pear, and yellow apple is lifted with a slight effervescance through a softer lime pith finish.
