Côtes du Rhône, Rhone Valley, FranceFrom plots around the château, replanted around 15 years ago in the region's limestone clays, this blends 35% syrah, 30% grenache, 23% mourvèdre, 8% marselan, and 4% carignan. It was fermented and aged up to 1 year in stainless. Crushed raspberries, strawberries flood the juicy, cushy palate of this CdR, with ample stony underlay, and finely grippy tannins bracing the full, yet fresh red to a spiced violet finish.
