Cawston, Similkameen Valley, British Columbia, CanadaOrofino works with five different clones on its estate Cawston Bench vineyard. The assorted blocks of vines date back 13 to 31 years on the home estate, where winemaker John Weber is quick to say that it is “a wine truly made in the vineyard.” The texture is spot-on silky, the tannins barely existent, and the flavours a juicy mix of rich, savoury, spicy red fruits with a warm menthol undercurrent. Uniquely Orofino and Similkameen.
