François le Saint Sancerre Rouge 2020

Sancerre, Upper Loire, Loire, FranceFrançois le Saint is a line of wines from one of Sancerre's most revered names. Established in 1749 in the heart of Sancerre, Domaine Fouassier is one of the oldest wine growing families in the Loire Valley with a history that spans 10 generations. This organic Pinot Noir comes off vines 35-50 years in limestone soils. It was destemmed and native fermented in stainless, where it remains for 1 year. Plump plum, wild cherries floods a juicy palate, cored with ripe boysenberries, housed with fine, downy tannins and lit with a bright, tight acidity. Quite plush fruit here, well balanced by the stony acidity, drinking smartly now and with time ahead.Tasted: 07 December 2022Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
