Three Sisters Winery Cabernet Franc 2020
Naramata Bench, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis was a gold medal winner at the National Wine Awards of Canada, and tasting it again seven months later, it's easy to see why. This is Okanagan cabernet franc at its best, retaining the variety's perfumed aromatics, peppery spice, and – yes – even some herbaceousness, which adds complexity and freshness to the generous black fruits. Concentrated yet fresh, this has the fruit intensity to effortlessly balance the sweet oak spice, with the assertive structure to continue to improve in bottle for the next 4-5 years.
