Quails' Gate Pinot Noir 2021

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis pioneering BC winemaking family is also pioneers in pinot noir and chardonnay. This classic pinot, from a variety of sites and clones, was cold soaked and fermented on skins for 2 weeks before being pressed to new and used French barrels for 10 months. Sultry plum, black cherry is drawn with brown spices and shaped with ample toasted cedar spices. Tannins are firm and somewhat blocky at this young stage, pinning this down to a bitter cherry end. Give this a bit more time in bottle to come about, or serve with juicy pork chops or mushroom ragout now.Tasted: 08 November 2022Tasted by: Prices:
