Mt. Boucherie Summit 2019

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaSummit is a proprietary red blend selected from the best Mt. Boucherie vineyard blocks in Lost Horn Vineyard, Okanagan Falls, South Rock Vineyard, Golden Mile Bench, and Lazy River Vineyard in South Cawston, Similkameen Valley. After that, it is a best barrels selection made by winemaker Jeff Hundermark. The 2019 mix is 57% merlot, 26% cabernet franc, 9% carménère, 5% malbec, 2% cabernet sauvignon, and 1% syrah. Like last year, the styling is getting more elegant, and the current blend is more amenable for drinking, which is a big plus. I like the texture and subtle aromatics before the California black and blue fruits and cedar mineral notes round out through the finish. Well done, and you can drink or hold a good wine through 2027 and beyond.Tasted: 29 November 2022Tasted by: Prices:
