Marlborough, South Island, New ZealandThis Marlborough pinot noir trad met rosé was whole punch pressed, fermented and aged 11 months on gross lees in old French oak prior to heading to bottle for secondary ferment and 20 months' rest. Cherry, rhubarb are smacked with an oxidative wall, deadening the pure fruit, and painting a mustard seed, bitter-hewn red cassis and baked bread note on the whole.
