Domodimonti Deja Passerina 2020

Marche, ItalyDomodimonti is located in Marche on the eastern side of central Italy, between the Adriatic sea to the east and the Apennine mountain range to the west. The grape in question is Passerina, an ancient variety popular in the Adriatic area. This wine has a Canadian connection. The Bellini family owns Domodimonti, and Francesco Bellini grew up in Italy but moved to Montreal to pursue a pharmaceutical career. After achieving breakthroughs with drugs to treat diseases such as HIV, Hepatitis C, and Alzheimer's, Bellini was able to cash in and achieve his dream of owning a vineyard near his home. It is traditionally a fragrant and delicate white, and this wine heads down that path. It opens with a slightly muddy natural nose that cleans up with time and air. Next, look for a fresh affair of citrus, honeysuckle, pear, and almond with a savoury, linear, stony minerality throughout the finish. Westcoast seafood is the match.Tasted: 04 November 2022Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
