Champagne Rémi Leroy Blanc de Noirs Réserve 2018

Côte des Bar, Champagne, FranceRemi Leroy farms 3 of his family's 9 ha in the Aube's Meurville, selling the remaining fruit for additional income, with the goal to use all of the fruit for his non-interventionist label. The only inputs he uses is a small addition of sulphur. This BdN Réserve is entirely pinot noir, native fermented with full MLF, and vinified in stainless. This was disgorged in winter 2021, and was dosed with 1 g/L. Pouring a blush hue (thanks to the generous 2018 vintage), this is very red fruited, with fresh cherry, raspberry, meringue, scented with fragrant wildflowers and lit with a buzzy kimmeridgian hum that streams this to a lingering saline finish. This bone dry sparkler is quite sleek considering the density of red fruit filling the palate here. Very well handled, with a lovely light touch. 3000 bottles produced.Tasted: 30 November 2022Tasted by: Prices:
