Champagne André Clouet Rosé No. 3 Brut NV

Champagne, FranceAndré Clouet and his son Jean-François are the owners of this domaine, with 10 hectares in Bouzy and Ambonnay, begun in 1741. The Clouet family first found the spotlight as the official printer to Louis XV’s Royal Court in Versailles in the 18th century, hence the intricacy of their wine labels. This GC pinot noir rosé includes 4% still wine, and is 75% base wine (based in 2018), with 22% reserve wines. This spent at least 2 years on lees, and was dosed with 8 g/L. The 3 in this No3 Rosé represents the style of the wine measured on a scale from 1-10, hence, this is a lighter, more elegant rosé. Wild strawberries, raspberries glide along a satin palate, with a tart/sweet rhubarb core through the gentle finish.Tasted: 19 November 2022Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
