Brotte Viridi Côtes du Rhône 2018

Côtes du Rhône, Rhone Valley, FranceBrotte was a family business and independent for four generations, founded in 1931 in Châteauneuf-du-Pape by Mr Charles Brotte, one of the pioneers of bottling wines from the Rhône. This is one of the largest and widespread negotiants in the region today. This organic (Viridi = green) CdR blends 80% grenache with 20% syrah, vinified and aged in concrete over 1 year. Lightweight and juicy with crushed cherries, raspberries, and a light dusting of pepper on a shorter palate, framed with lightly sticky tannins. A fair introduction to the region, and one to pop now with simple fare.Tasted: 11 November 2022Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
