Bachelder Patte Rouge Organically Grown Chardonnay 2020
Four Mile Creek, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario, CanadaPatte Rouge Vineyard, formerly Red Paw Vineyard, sits on the edge of St. David’s in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Four Mile Creek. Oak, honey, and lanolin set the tone for this wine, which lacks the refinement of most of the Toussaints chardonnays. Nevertheless, it remains tasty and will undoubtedly appeal to those who prefer their chardonnay wider and full of flavour. As it turns out, the vineyard was subject to winter kill in the winter of 2022 and was subsequently pulled out.
