Oliver, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis single vineyard syrah comes off the river rock-strewn soils of Fool's Gold Vineyard on Tucelnuit Drive in Oliver, and is co-fermented with a ten percent splash of viognier. It's a beautiful expression of Okanagan syrah, with a combination of lush dark berries, gamey meat, aromatic spices, and perfumed violets. Both complex and precise, there's a polish to the winemaking that stands out, with an underlying freshness that carries the wine through the finish, with very good length.
