Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Stewart Family Reserve has a long history of excellence. It is also a label that ages well, typically seven to ten years, with ease, especially in great years like 2020. It is richer and more complex than the regular version beginning with a deeper colour and riper fruit: more New World than Old World. The mid-palate is dense, with some sweet tannins to shed, but this is packed with possibilities that will unfurl slowly over the next five years. The use of oak is very judicious and will further accentuate its ability to mature fully in the bottle. Quails' Gate Stewart Family Reserve Pinot Noir 2020

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis, their flagship pinot noir, comes off vineyards at their Mt. Boucherie estate. The grapes were cold soaked for 5 days prior to a ferment over 3 weeks on skins, followed by 16 months in new and neutral oak. A firm frame of upright cedar-lined tannins house soft and cushioned cherry, perfumed black raspberries, savoury cola, and sultry cinnamon spicing. Quails' Gate Stewart Family Reserve Pinot Noir 2020

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaStewart Family Reserve is typically a riper expression of Okanagan pinot noir and the excellent 2020 vintage is no different. Deeply coloured, this offers a dark, brooding nose of ripe macerated berries and cola, balanced by judicious wood and earth. There's a lot to like here, even at this early, youthful stage, with a beautiful balance of fruit, oak, and savoury complexity. It's still tightly wound, with richly concentrated fruit that's just starting to unfurl, and will effortlessly and gracefully improve over the next 5-7 years, though we know it has the pedigree to go much longer. Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaMade with grapes grown in select blocks at the West Kelowna estate, this pinot noir is the flagship red wine of the winery for a reason. It leads with ripe dark cherries layered with baking spices and dried rose petals. Concentrated and generous fruit on the palate is delicately framed by crisp acidity and fine grained tannins. It’s an elegant yet powerful pinot with long lingering savoury flavours.
