British Columbia, CanadaRiesling is one of the Monte Creek stars, and 2021 is no exception. The Living Land label is sourced from a single vineyard site in the Similkameen Valley, which sits on an old stony riverbed. Inherent pure flavours allow them to pick this fruit earlier to keep the wine super fresh, primarily dry (6.7 g/L RS), and full of attractive citrus and mineral with perfect balance. The solution has a touch of residual carbon dioxide because of a very cold ferment that protects the wine and keeps sit fresh under the screwcap. I love the style here, and this will cellar for five to seven years with ease.
