Domaine Guillaume Vrignaud Chablis 1er Cru Fourchaume Les Vaupulans 2020

Chablis, Burgundy, FranceThe Vrignaud family, settled in the village of Fontenay-près-Chablis, have been growing vines for 5 generations. Guillaume Vrignaud started to bottle his first wines in 1999, and became certified organic in 2009. They have 28 hectares today. From the Les Vaupulans climate in Fourchaume 1er Cru, this is from 30 year old vines, native fermented with MLF and aging on lees in a mix of stainless and barrels over 1 year. The creamy, lees-bedded palate is topped with green apples, yellow apples, pear skin and river stones, with a fine, buzzy chalky limestone underlay that lingers long on the palate. Lovely presence here, drinking smartly now and with time ahead.Tasted: 21 October 2022Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
