Cellier des Dauphins Reserve Côtes du Rhône 2019

Côtes du Rhône, Rhone Valley, FranceThe Union des Vignerons des Côtes-du-Rhône is a growers association that established its cooperative in 1965. With more than 2300 members, the association has a long reach across the Rhône, including a selection of the best villages and crus in the southern Rhône. The benchmark Rhône brand Cellier des Dauphins label is now 55 years old. It was created shortly after the inception of the winery in 1967. It has remained one of France's benchmark Rhône brands for decades and is now available in Canada. The reserve is a 60/40 mix of grenache and syrah crafted to be ready to drink. Look for an inviting brambly garrigue-scented nose with lush black fruit, with a dollop of pepper, and non-existent tannin. Pork chops, sausages, or grilled root vegetables all work here.
