Lake Country, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis Block 12 Gew comes off the oldest block of gewürztraminer at Carr's Landing Vineyard where it has a visible soil profile of broken granite. It is fermented in a combination of two-year-old oak and stainless steel, and the styling of this label is richer and drier, more in the Alsace style. Extra skin contact adds the ginger spice, floral litchi, and more concentration. You think it will be sweet but it isn’t. Another impressive release and white wine you can drink all winter with substantial fare, a rarity among most BC gewürztraminers.
