Meyer Pinot Noir 2021

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis year's Meyer Pinot Noir comes from three Okanagan Vineyards: Teasdale Road Vineyard in Southeast Kelowna, Fat Coyote Vineyard on the Naramata Bench, and Lakehill Road Vineyard in Kaleden. The destemmed fruit was partially native fermented over four weeks before eight months in older French barrels and puncheons. Smoked stone, fleshy black cherry, blackcurrant is heavily scented with nutmeg and cloves on a plumped palate, with tart, blackcurrant acidity sharpening. The finish lingers with cinnamon warmth. Certainly a different shade of pinot noir; this is one to crack into with heartier dishes / autumnal stews.Tasted: 05 September 2022Tasted by: Prices:
