Fitzpatrick Family Vineyards Interloper Gewurztraminer 2021

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThis is all Greata Ranch fruit planted in 1996 on the south field of the estate, a slight stretch of vineyard land that sits between Peachland and Summerland just above the lake. A portion of the fruit (40%) gets about 12 hours of skin contact, while the remaining is whole bunch pressed. Post ferment, it is held in stainless steel until a spring bottling. Look for a mostly dry style with an aromatic nose of litchi, ginger, white flowers, and pears. The palate is almost a carbon copy with a squeeze of citrus. It is light, breezy, well balanced, with no bitter notes, and will have a lot of fans and work with most south Asian dishes with a pop of heat. The Fitzpatrick style is pure, and this is the poster child.Tasted: 21 September 2022Tasted by: Prices:
