Tuscany, ItalyA traditional blend of sangiovese, canaiolo, and other unnamed red varieties, this Chianti Classico Riserva was aged 12 months in Slavonian and French oak before marrying in stainless steel ahead of bottling. At five years of age, it shows a developed, savoury nose of dried red cherry, leather, and dried herbs with a distinctive dusty earthiness. Medium-bodied and juicy, it delivers mouthwatering acidity balanced by resolved, fine grained tannins.
