Tantalus Riesling 2021

East Kelowna, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaPurity is the watchword at Tantalus when it comes to riesling, thanks to their impeccably managed old vineyard. Interestingly the flagship label is the regular riesling, although there is nothing regular about this wine. The nose is an exceptional mix of aromatics mixing fresh orchard fruits and floral notes. The palate is all Tantalus with stunning concentration and balance. Look for lime, tangerine zest, and juicy fruit throughout with minerality, salt, and wet stones. You can drink this now or hold it for a decade. It will only get better in the bottle. The fruit is hand picked between September 24th and October 11th at optimal ripeness from various blocks. The wine was aged cold on gross lees in separate batches before blending and bottling in the last week of February 2022.Tasted: 12 July 2022Tasted by: Prices:
