Conviviale Primitivo 2020

Salento, Puglia, ItalyAraldica is a third generation, family operated co-operative based in Piedmont. It has expanded its winemaking projects beyond its home region, working with local farmers and growers to produce authentic Italian wines. Conviviale is made from the local primitivo variety cultivated in the Salento peninsula of Puglia, and here from 20 and 60 year old vines. A self-described heartland grape, it is a zinfandel taste and lookalike with spicy, brambly black fruit spiked with dried figs and hints of cinnamon. A weeknight red that can take on pizza, pasta, and spicy barbecue ribs, this is ready to drink and it's good value.Tasted: 11 August 2022Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
