Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe fruit comes from three sites: This Is It Vineyard, Naramata; Stag’s Hollow Shuttleworth Creek Vineyard; and Stag's Hollow Vineyard, Okanagan Falls. In 2020 the blend shifted positions with pinot noir at 67.7% first, followed by merlot at 22.6%, gamay at 5.5%, and a dash of dolcetto at 4.2%. This spends eight or nine months in French oak barrels. The fruit mixes red and black, and the texture is supple. Mostly it is an easy drinking, juicy red, with a spicy, savoury undercurrent. Try this with charcuterie or a favourite grilled chicken.
