Quails' Gate Chenin Blanc 2021

West Kelowna, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe 2021 chenin confusingly blends in 7% viognier, making for questionable bedmates indeed. The Chenin was cold settled and fermented in 90% stainless and 10% neutral French oak, while the Viognier grapes were entirely barrel-fermented. There is a creamy mid-palate, housing ripe pears, yellow apple, white peach, and lime peel, with a fragrant gingersnap seasoning. Not so chenin; treat this as an aromatic white blend, and one ideally suited to fragrant Asian seafood/veg dishes.Tasted: 13 July 2022Tasted by: Prices:
