Hic et Nunc Mondano Dolcetto 2019
Piedmont, ItalyHic et Nunc is from from the Latin 'Here and Now', and devoted to making wines from their home in Monferrato, in northwestern Italy's Piemonte. Of their 100 hectares of arable lands, woods and poplar groves, 20 hectares are dedicated to local vines, and the are entirely estate, organically managed, on clay limestone soils. This dolcetto comes from their high altitude Bricco vineyard, in Mongetto, rooted in white tuffaceous marl and with southern exposure. It was fermented in stainless, where it remained for 8 months. Perfumed plums, blueberries flood a densely fruited, yet lofted palate, housed with well-integrated, ample tannins and seasoned with scrubby wild rosemary and ample flake salts.
