D.V. Catena Zapata Nature NV
Mendoza, ArgentinaDV Catena Nature is a 70/30 mix of chardonnay and pinot noir clones especially selected for sparkling wine production. The grapes are grown at Tupungato at 1525m, and the wine spends 30 months on its lees before disgorgement. The bead is tiny and tight, and the nose is very Champenois, with subtle white flowers and lemon notes throughout. The palate is equally impressive with creamy, brioche flavours with a stony, mineral, Tupungato chardonnay bent lifting this bubble to another level.
