San Valentino Bacaia Sangiovese Superiore 2019
Emilia-Romagna, ItalySan Valentino is a certified organic property owned by the Mascarin family since 1990, and is centered on the hills of Rimini, near the sea. This sangiovese is from 150m, and 12 year old vines, native fermented and aged in stainless and concrete, and rested for up to 10 months in large French wood casks. Crushed cassis, plums, black cherry, and ample flake salts dart throughout this fuller wine, one that carries an effortless lift for its 14%. Tannins are firm and finely sticky, hugging the sides to the spiced, scrubby herb finale.
