Play Saignée 2021

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaAs the name suggests, this was made in the saignée, or bleeding off method, with this pink drained off to concentrate further the remaining red wine. This year's blend is 50% Merlot, 22% Syrah, and the rest a mix of grapes, off their estate and complemented with other Okanagan vineyards. Tart and punchy, with bracing green apple up against cherry blossoms and red apple, with just bump of RS to meld it all together, finishing with a raft of citrus pithiness. Chill this well and crack this stylish looking pink this summer.Tasted: 10 May 2022Tasted by: Prices:
