Finca Decero Malbec Remolinos Vineyard 2018

Agrelo District, Luján de Cuyo, Northern Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaDecero means 'from scratch', referencing this site's natural state before the vineyards and winery were established, in Agrelo, Mendoza. Remolinos Vineyard is sited at 1100m, and takes its name from the winds that keep the vineyard clean and dry. After a month's maceration and ferment in stainless, this malbec went into 90% oak (30% new) with the remainder in stainless, for 14 months' rest. Savoury and stony, with ripe black cherry, turned earth, ferrous notes, and crushed florals on a leathery palate. This 2018 is primed for drinking now, with grilled meats.Tasted: 03 May 2022Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
