Chiroubles, Beaujolais Villages, Beaujolais, Burgundy, FranceThis tiny low-intervention negotiant sources grapes in Chenas, Juliénas, and Chiroubles, employing native ferment, semi-carbonic maceration, and 10 months in older wood. Benjamin cut his teeth in Vosne-Romanée, and has now turned his passion towards Cru Beaujolais.This Chiroubles is from 50 year old vines, on red granite and quartz soils. Bright and floral, with peony, carnations, tight cherry and fine spice filling a juicy, lofted palate. There's a kiss of wax, and ample salinity on the lingering finish.
