Bramare Malbec 2019

Luján de Cuyo, Northern Region, Mendoza, ArgentinaFrom gravelled 990-1060m vineyards in Luján de Cuyo, this malbec was aged for 18 months in French oak (24% new) before heading to bottle without fining or filtration. Full bodied and potent, with dense cassis, compact blackberry, pipe tobacco, pitchy thorns, and threads of iron soils up against lifted mountain acidity. Tannins are well absorbed into the fruit, leaving a gritty framework around the sides, through the saline, medicinal black cherry finish. Quite an aspirational wine, and one to take with lamb now, or better yet, a while in the cellar.Tasted: 05 May 2022Tasted by: Prices:
