Seven Directions Fruitvale Ridge Vineyard Cabernet Franc Rosé 2021

West Kelowna, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaFruitvale Ridge Vineyard is an Osoyoos cabernet franc from sustainably farmed 14-year-old vines grown over larger rock and shale, with gravel, loam and clay mixed in. The grapes are cold soaked for two hours, fermented cool in stainless steel, and aged on lees for added texture and mouthfeel. The attack is dry and opens with light wild strawberries that preview savoury apricot and finish dusty dry. This one is best served with bites of food. Seven Directions has a new home base in Cawston, where they are farming just under four acres of vines, including garnacha tinta, grenache clone 52, cabernet franc clone 214, and pinot noir clone 667.Tasted: 23 April 2022Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
