Mission Hill Reserve Meritage 2020

Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Reserve Meritage is a mix of cabernet franc, merlot, cabernet sauvignon, and petit verdot. In 2020 it took on a slightly brawnier style, at least at this point, perhaps reflecting its highly lauded growing season that has produced a youthful, almost rambunctious edition of Meritage. Look for a peppery, black cherry, savoury affair with balanced acidity and firm, dry tannins supporting underneath. The Oliver Osoyoos fruit is aged 14-16 months in French and American oak. This wine shows all the signs of youth and probably needs another two to three years in the bottle before it begins to settle into itself. If you are going to drink it now, it will be best with mushrooms or beef.Tasted: 08 April 2022Tasted by: Prices:
