Domaine Millet - Roger Sancerre 2020

Sancerre, Upper Loire, Loire, FranceThird generation vigneron Franck Millet took over his family winery in Bué numerous years ago, and together with his wife Betty, has revitalized the vineyards and cellars. From the region's clay limestone soils, this was fermented in stainless, with no MLF, and 3-5 weeks of bâtonnage. Savoury and stony, with streaks of lemon, lime peel along the sleek palate, around a green apple core. This elegant Sancerre makes for striking drinking now, and over short term. Try with white asparagus and / or artichokes.Tasted: 23 April 2022Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
