Domaine Langlois-Chateau Saumur 2019

Loire, FranceThe domaine has been actively growing vines and producing wines from their clay/chalk soils since 1885. Today they oversee 95 hectares of vines, entirely certified Terra Vitis (sustainable viticulture) with 30 Ha of the estate certified organic. This cab franc is rooted in clay/limestone soils of Coudray-Macouard and St-Florent, destemmed and fermented and aged in stainless. Bright raspberry, dusky plum, and tayberry run the slender, subtle palate, with spiderweb sticky tannins taking this to a lightly spiced finish. A friendly, yet smart Saumur rouge for cracking now.Tasted: 23 April 2022Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
