Desert Hills Gamay Noir 2021
Osoyoos, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia, CanadaThe Three Boys estate vineyard is located on the Black Sage Bench; this gamay is from 27-year-old vines. It was 95% destemmed / 5% whole cluster and partially native fermented in stainless, with eight days' maceration, before moving to neutral French oak for five months. Ripe and forward black fruit sweeps across the palate, with ample smoked stones, black plum, baking spices, and subtly sweet cured meats on the warming, peppery finish.
