Champagne, FranceThis special cuvée was created in 1964 as a tribute to the House’s founder. This vintage blends 79% GC and 21% 1er Cru, and is a mix of 60 / 40 pinot noir and chardonnay. 15% of the wine is fermented and matured in 15 year old oak barrels, and it was disgorged in July 2019 with 6 g/L. Powerful and forward, with ample deep toast, biscuit, and red apple on a structural, finessed palate, laced with lemon pith and etched with chalk.
