Misha's Vineyard Cantata Pinot Noir 2019

Central Otago, South Island, New ZealandFrom Central Otago's Bendigo region, this single vineyard pinot is from a mix of clones planted on the north-west facing sun-drenched terraces of their 57 hectare estate. This vintage saw 26% whole bunches in the native ferment, with 3 weeks on skins prior to aging in 300L French oak (14% new). This is a sophisticated and polished pinot, with wild cherry, wild raspberry, summer strawberries flooding a juicy palate. Tannins are long and lightly sticky, and acidity is easily lofted, through the lingering, salted dried herb finish. Take this stylish charmer with wild mushroom risotto.Tasted: 12 March 2022Tasted by: Treve RingPrices:
