Spy Valley Envoy Johnson Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2021

Marlborough, South Island, New ZealandThe blocks are handpicked and pressed to the tank to settle. Several hours later, the juice is drained into barrels and fermented in a mix of 1200L and 225L oak barrels and aged 9 to 11 months. After blending to tank, the wine remains on its full lees for several months before bottling in the winter of 2017. The nose is a nutty slurry of lees that permeates a creamy palate of citrus and passion fruit, smoke and oak. A ‘chardonnay’ sauvignon blanc that is at its acme.Tasted: 10 February 2022Tasted by: Anthony GismondiPrices:
